What are FAQs?
FAQs are frequently asked questions and they are a great way to help you find quick answers to common questions about our academy.
Where does the training for the open sessions take place?
Our Open Sessions take place weekly on Saturdays at Anglesey Football Pitch. Between 10am to 11am (for ages 9 to 13) and 12pm to 1pm (for ages 5 to 8).
Our Ballers Sessions take place weekly on Sundays at Queens Community Centre, between 10am to 11am (for ages 3 to 5).
Does my child have to go to a particular school to be able to join the academy?
No.
How long is a term for the open sessions?
Each term is 8 weeks and runs alongside the school term.
What is the cost per term for open sessions?
The cost is £20.00 per term
Do you provide training for all abilities?
All abilities are welcome. Whether they are a beginner or have been playing, anyone is welcome.
What do I need to bring to a training session?
A water bottle, football boots (no metal studs), shin pads and suitable football clothes are all you need to attend our sessions. Remember to dress for the weather!
Do you provide pathways into the Academy teams?
Yes. Please refer to our Development Pathway for full details. Our aim is to help players improve their footballing abilities and progress into our Academy teams where appropriate. Players are assessed by our coaching staff, and subject to available spaces successful players will be invited to continue their development within the Academy teams.
How much does it cost for my child to play for a team per month?
The cost for a child to play for a team is £15.00 per month.
What is the drop off and collection procedure?
Parents and guardians are free to stay and watch the session. Children will not be allowed to leave the pitch until a parent or guardian is there to collect them.
Are your coaches DBS checked?
All our coaches are subject to a rigorous vetting process which includes a DBS check and Safeguarding Children in Football certification.
Who do I contact if I have a safeguarding concern?
